"The creative way to have a party!"
Student Artist Feature
Our Student Artist Feature (SAF) is a new program used to promote the creative arts and give back to the community. Student artists are selected to participate as a SAF. One artwork from each student artist is selected as a paint option for BE! Creative Arts Center paint service offerings. Our customers learn more about each artist, view samples of their artwork, purchase paint kits, and book private paint parties leveraging their creations. Part of the proceeds from each purchase go the student artist in support of their passion to continue and/or pursue a career in the arts.

Hello! My name is Laila, and I grew up in Cobb County Georgia. Growing up I’ve always had an interest in art. My mother always used to put me in this art and music camp program and that is definitely where my love for art grew. They used to always have little classes throughout the day where they would teach us how to paint certain paintings, sometimes we would even make little sculptures out of plaster or clay. I really enjoyed going to art and music camp growing up throughout the years. They even helped me paint a painting to put up in Congressman David Scott's office in the Capitol building at Washington, D.C. when I was only in the 3rd grade. My dad was also someone who was inspired to do art, he also painted here and there while he was in college, and he always would push me to do the same and create as much as I could. He sadly passed away in 2015, and my world was torn apart. He was like my best-friend, and this definitely set back my motivation to pursue art. For a while, I didn't really do any sketches or paintings, but something I would always do was doodle little things on my paper at school and it annoyed my teachers a lot.
Fast forward to 2021, my senior year of high school, for a while I wanted to get into the medical field to pursue sonography and become an Ultrasound technician. After going to a few open houses and shadowing at a clinic, I soon realized that it was not my passion. My heart was where Art was, specifically Fashion designing. I then started pursuing Fashion Design and I am now at Georgia Highlands College so I can finish my prerequisites and transfer to SCAD for Fashion Design and Graphic Design in hopes to one day open my own international clothing line and also design costumes for movies. I will forever have a passion for art. Art will always be where I find peace and where I feel the closest to my late father. I cannot wait to see what else is in store for me!
